30/09/2026

Our Senior Associate, Grace Wong, was pleased to join the HKICPA Young Members Conference 2026, titled “Future-ready CPAs: Leading through digital frontiers and new horizons”.

In the panel session on “The rise of the intellectual property economy”, Grace joined Wiley Pun, Partner of Advisory Services at Grant Thornton Hong Kong Limited, and Wilson Tam, CEO & Founder of TOYZEROPLUS Limited, which collaborates with artists to develop collectible toys and blind box series featuring characters such as LuLu the Piggy. The discussion was moderated by Ingrid Lau, Partner at PwC Mainland China and Hong Kong.

The panel explored the evolving role of intellectual property in supporting business growth, commercialisation and Hong Kong’s development as an international IP hub. Drawing on her IP practice, Grace shared practical perspectives on the IP value chain—from creation and protection to commercialisation and enforcement. The discussion also covered steps IP owners can take when faced with suspected infringement, alongside legal and commercial issues arising from AI-generated content.

Thank you to the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and its Young Members Committee for the opportunity to share our perspectives on managing intellectual property in an increasingly digital and borderless economy.
