Bernie is a qualified solicitor in Hong Kong with nearly 30 years of experience in intellectual property and commercial law. She is currently a Consultant at ELLALAN, having previously served as Managing Partner of Hung, Au Yeung & Partners.

Bernie spent over a decade in private practice with leading international and regional law firms, before taking on the role of Asia Pacific Senior Legal Counsel at one of the world’s largest luxury and fashion retail groups, where for eight years she oversaw all legal, compliance and intellectual property matters across the region. This combination of top-tier private practice and high-level in-house experience enables her to navigate complex, cross-border issues with the commercial sophistication expected of global brands.

Bernie is particularly recognised for her deep understanding of the business priorities of senior management and in-house counsel. She advises on strategies to drive growth across Asia Pacific and the UK/EU while safeguarding clients’ interests and rights, delivering innovative, strategic, and sustainable solutions in a cost-effective manner.

A serial entrepreneur, Bernie has founded and operated businesses across multiple sectors, ranging from legal services, property investment and hospitality to coaching and K-beauty skincare.
