Our Managing Partner, Alan Chiu, was featured on China Business Law Journal‘s recent “Law Imitates Art” article, which surveyed their Annual A-List selection of top legal practitioners on the types of art and/or media that they turn to for inspiration or diversion.

Alan suggested using learning points in thought-training books to approach work with fresh skills. In particular, Alan considers negotiation to be a routine aspect of a lawyer’s job and acquired this technique from the book “Getting to Yes”. Alan says that, “[a] tough negotiator is not necessarily the best lawyer, but is definitely a good one who would be able to fight for the best interests of his or her clients”.
