It is ELLALAN’s philosophy to give juniors as much training as possible to equip and grow them into competent and independent lawyers. While strong technical skill is a given, ELLALAN believes it is also important for junior lawyers to develop a strong sense of professionalism.

Earlier, ELLALAN Academy had the honor of hosting an exclusive lunch sharing session by the esteemed Dr Simon Ip, GBS CBE JP, to our trainees.

Simon is a true icon in the Hong Kong legal industry. He was the President of the Law Society of Hong Kong, as well as the Chairman and Senior Partner of Messrs. Johnson, Stokes and Master (now known as Mayer Brown). He also served on the Basic Law Consultative Committee, the Advisory Committee on Legal Education, the Law Reform Commission, the Judicial Service Commission, and on the Standing Committee on Legal Aid.

It is safe to say that our trainees were most grateful and inspired by the personal sharing from such a prominent and iconic legal professional, and Simon also gave his unreserved advice to our junior members.

We are incredibly thankful to Simon for gracing us with his presence and wisdom, and deeply appreciate his time and willingness to inspire the next generation of professionals, as it is through such enriching experiences that we continue to foster growth and excellence within our firm.
