Last week, Ella Cheong, Senior Consultant, was invited to give a guest seminar to students from the City University of Hong Kong (“CityU”) as part of their “A Fireside Chat with the Master” seminar series, which features the most prominent members of the legal profession in Hong Kong.During the seminar, Ella shared her extensive experience and professional journey on being a pioneering intellectual property lawyer and recognized entrepreneur in Asia, and shared practical tips for young professionals and trainees. A Q&A session followed whereby the CityU students were able to ask Ella for her thoughts and advice gleaned from her over 50 years of legal practice.Our Trainee, Hank Yeung, was also invited to share his experience and training at ELLALAN with the students.The seminar was held in-person for current CityU students, as well as online for CityU alumni. Amongst the attendees were Professor Chan Hon Fu Raymond, Chair Professor of the Department of Mathematics and acting VP of Student Affairs, Professor Lin Feng, Acting Dean of the School of Law, Professor Jonathan Wylie, Professor in the Department of Mathematics, and Scarlet Fung, Director of Law Students’ Professional Development and Public Service Programme.We certainly enjoyed our virtual and in-person interactions with the students at CityU!
