On 11 June 2024, the Hong Kong Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) published the “Artificial Intelligence: Model Personal Data Protection Framework”. The Framework addresses the rising challenges to data protection and cybersecurity in the era of artificial intelligence. It also provides the necessary practical and internationally recognized practices to safeguard personal data as Hong Kong undergoes a transformation into an innovation and technology hub.
