Invited by the Department of Justice, our Senior Consultant, Professor Kenny Wong, spoke in the panel session of the Hong Kong Legal Week 2023. The panel session was on “Rule of Law: A Core Pillar of Support for the “8 Centers” under the National 14th Five-Year Plan – The Art of Art Law where East meets West in Hong Kong ”.

Kenny highlighted the impact of technology and globalization on the art market, emphasizing the importance of intellectual property laws in fostering creativity and protecting artists’ rights. Kenny also expressed confidence in Hong Kong’s potential to become a leading center for international art and cultural exchange, while acknowledging the need for evolving laws to address the challenges posed by digital art and new forms of expression.
