Our Managing Partner, Alan Chiu, and Associate, Hank Yeung, recently delivered an in-house seminar for members of Vitasoy International Holdings Limited on the legal risks associated with the use of artificial intelligence.

The session explored how IP rights interact with AI across major jurisdictions, including Hong Kong, Mainland China, the European Union and the United States. Topics included copyright subsistence, protection and infringement in relation to AI-generated outputs, as well as disclosure requirements in Hong Kong and Mainland China when using AI in marketing materials. Alan and Hank also addressed practical risks and key considerations for AI adoption. The seminar concluded with actionable best practices for using AI responsibly while safeguarding valuable IP assets.
