A Productive Fall Season for ELLALAN’s Arbitration Practice
01/11/2021
It has been a busy fall season for our dispute resolution partner, Simon Wong, following his arrival in August as he continues to be very active in the practice area of arbitration.
As a Council Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators (HKIArb) (“HKIArb”), Simon earlier moderated a webinar jointly organized by the HKIArb and the CIETAC Hong Kong Arbitration Center on “CIETAC Practice – Construction Project Disputes Review”. The webinar was joined by a number of distinguished speakers, including Brad Wang, Deputy Secretary General of CIETAC Hong Kong Arbitration Center; Wei Sun, Partner of Zhong Lun Law Firm and KK Cheung, Partner of Deacons.
Simon was also invited to pay a formal visit to the new Hong Kong office of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration http://www.scia.com.cn/en.
Lastly, Simon capped the eventful season with an ELLALAN webinar discussing the strengths and opportunities of arbitration in Hong Kong and why Hong Kong is still a major hub for international arbitration.
Going forward, we look to continue our impressive growth in the dispute resolution practice area, and are excited to further strengthen our expertise in handling arbitration cases.
