It was our pleasure to have invited Connie Yu, former Regional Director of Business Development and Marketing of Mayer Brown, to share on the topic “BD Tips for lawyers” in our internal training session last week. In this interactive session, Ms Yu shared on the importance of networking to build and maintain relationship in the commercial context. Our lawyers also practiced a 30-seconds “elevator pitch” to introduce oneself confidently to others. The session ended with useful tips on starting a conversation, following up with networks and maintaining fruitful and interesting conversations with various business partners and potential clients.
