Our Managing Partner Alan Chiu took part in the legal forum – “Be An Upright Citizen” organized jointly by the Law Society of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, alongside with other distinguished speakers such as Ms Melissa Pang (President of the Law Society of Hong Kong), Mr Rimsky Yuen GBM SC JP (Former Secretary for Justice of Hong Kong), Mr Stephen Wong (Former Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data of Hong Kong) and Mr Felix Ng (Partner of Haldanes).

Alan gave a talk on the topic of “The Civil Aspect of Internet-related Legal Issues” and shared his view with hundreds of students, teachers and parents on civil liabilities that may arise from online transactions, unauthorized use of copyright works, harassment and defamation. He also joined the panel discussion on cybercrimes together which Mr Stephen Wong and Mr Felix Ng, moderating by Professor Wong Sing Wing Dennis (Professor of Criminology & Social Work, City University of Hong Kong).
